Mindhunter by John Douglas

Yes I am late to the party on this one but it's a great book - I have no interest in watching it on TV. John Douglas is the FBI agent who developed the behavioural science unit (a term he hates) that decided it would be better to profile a perpetrator and do a deep dive into every aspect of them rather than try and guess. He and his team interview many of the most prolific serial killers in prison during the 70s and 80s and it's fascinating to hear how he then could relate these experiences into helping track down killers still on the loose. https://amzn.to/3RBq5U8

Hinton Ampner - Episode 4

Crime Scene; The Times Square Killer

It's been ages since I've found a good true crime documentary that I could get my teeth into but this one we watched all four episodes in one sitting. There's a lot about the porn and live sex industry in Times Square at the time which some viewers may find tricky. I didn't but I didn't think it needed to be four episodes but it was really good!
